Cooling load calculation for air conditioners
The following rule of thumb applies to the calculation of the cooling capacity: approx. 30 watts of cooling capacity are required per cubic metre of room volume. For a room with a floor area of 28 m2 and a room height of 2.5 m, the following cooling capacity is therefore calculated:
28 m2 x 2,5 m x 30 W/m3 = 2.100 Watt (2,1 kW)
However, an accurate cooling load calculation is generally recommended.
